On Sunday night Kobe Bryant led his Lakers to a decisive 99-86 road victory over the Orlando Magic, and to his ever-so elusive 4th championship. The series victory gives Kobe his 4th championship, and more importantly his 1st without Shaq, something he has been wanting to accomplish since Shaq left.

The Lakers showed their strength and resiliency in game 4

The Lakers thrilling 99-91 overtime victory over Orlando in game 4 of the NBA finals tonight puts a dagger in the hearts of the Magic. The Magic controlled the game throughout and held a 10 point lead into the 3rd quarter on  a night where it appeared they would easily win to even the series, but the resiliency of the Lakers pushed the game into overtime and eventually enables them to come out on top.

The Lakers 101-96 Overtime victory over the Magic tonight does not mean the series is over, but it puts the Magic in an incredibly difficult position. The Lakers dominated the Magic in game 1, and while neither team played well in game 2, the Lakers ultimately prevailed.

These have been the keys to the Lakers’ victories in games 1 and 2.

The King Hit with 25k Fine after Snubbing Reporters and Magic

I just wanted to go on record and say I fully support NBA Commissioner David Stern’s stance on this subject.  What LeBron did demonstrated bad sportsmanship and made both the Cavs and the NBA as a whole look bad.  When the face of a franchise and/or a league commits such a petulant act, there are bound to be consequences.  The most obvious being (you guessed it) how his actions affect children.  I know it’s corny, but it’s also true.  What kind of message is sent when the most popular player in the league leaves the court without shaking hands after a tough, but deserved loss?
